At its Annual Meeting on Jan. 6, the membership of the MSTMA voted four new members to the Board of Directors and voted to retain Roger Weinbrenner, CSFM, University of St. Thomas, as Treasurer of the association. The new members are: Kevin Fernandez, White Bear Lake Area Schools #624, as 2nd Vice President; Jeff Hintz, Northwestern College as General Director: Scott Melling, Professional Fieldcare, a division of Par Aide Products Company, as Commercial Director, and Jim Schmitz, Reinders, Inc., as MTGF Representative. Pictured is new Commercial Board member Scott Melling. Steve Berg, St. Paul Academy and Summit School, is now President. Out-going President Paul Griffin will stay on Board as Ex-Officio. Steve Gilbertson, City of Lino Lakes, is now Vice-President. Also retaining their positions on the Board are General Director Josh Graham, University of Minnesota; Commercial Director Kevin Manley, JRK Seed and All Pro Turf Supply, and MTGF Representative Connie Rudolph, Midway Stadium/City of St. Paul. Jeff Turtinen continues to serve as Executive Secretary. Recognized and thanked by out-going President Paul Griffin for their contributions on the Board were: Tom Fuller, Turfwerks; Rick Beane, City of St. Louis Park, and Grant Davisson, Minnesota Vikings Football Club.
